To ensure a seamless login process for users on the EANR we have now introduced the single sign on functionality. This involves creating a single user account with multiple roles associated with it. If a user has only one role, they would log in using that specific role. However, if they have multiple roles, they can log in using a single email address and then switch between their various roles as required. For example, if a person is both an Partner user and an EC, they can log in and easily switch between these two roles.
Multiple roles walk through:
Please note: Whenever we have multiple roles assigned to a user, upon logging into EANR it will always assign the role with the lowest permissions. This is why when we walk through the cases below, the user will always have the lowest permissions role assigned to them. They can then change it to however they like.
Partner/Sub Contractor (SC):
1. As a user with Partner and Sub contractor permissions when I log into EANR, the 'role' tab will be visible in the top right corner. It will be pre-selected as Subcontractor because it has the lowest permissions between the two roles.
2. To change the permissions from a Subcontractor to a Partner user, we can select the “Role” dropdown and it gives us the option to select “Partner” as the only other role I can select with the subcontractor option greyed out.
3. You can then select Partner to change permissions from a subcontractor to a Partner user. We can confirm this by navigating to records, and as a Partner user I will be able to see the “Subcontractor” Tab as part of “View records of” whereas in the case that a subcontractor role is selected we cannot view “Subcontractor” anymore due to the change of roles.
Partner/EC:
1. As a user with Partner and Enterprise Coordinator permissions when I log into EANR, the 'role' tab will be visible in the top right corner. It will be pre-selected as EC because it has the lowest permissions between the two roles.
2. To change the permissions from a EC to a Partner user, we can select the “Role” dropdown and it gives us the option to select “Partner” as the only other role I can select with the EC option greyed out.
3. You can then select Partner to change permissions from a EC to a Partner user.
Partner/SC/EC:
1. As a user with Partner, Sub contractor and Enterprise coordinator permissions when I log into EANR, the 'role' tab will be visible in the top right corner. It will be pre-selected as the EC because it has the lowest permissions between the three roles.
2. To change the permissions from a EC to a Sub contractor, we can select the “Role” dropdown and it gives us the option to select “Partner” or “Sub contractor” roles.
3. You can then select Sub contractor to change permissions from an EC to Sub contractor or from an EC to a Partner user as shown below.
