This guidance illustrates how to add, view, edit, search, filter and download Enterprise Adviser records.
Firstly login to EANR: https://auth.careersandenterprise.co.uk/eanr
Click on ‘Records’ on the left-hand navigation bar.
Adding Enterprise Adviser records
Click on ‘Add Record’.
A pop-up window will open. Click on ’Enterprise Adviser’ and complete the form (note that a greyed-out box means that information cannot be edited).
When adding a new Enterprise Adviser, the following fields are mandatory (asterisked*):
- Partner
- Enterprise Co-Ordinators responsible
- Title
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Date signed-up
- DBS checked status
- Highest qualification held

Employment status
- If they are currently employed this will open further fields where you are required to enter further details about the employer where an Enterprise Adviser is employed.
- Start typing the Enterprise Adviser’s employer into the ‘New Employer’ field: if it doesn’t come up, please see Using Companies House to add Employers on EANR.
- If you select the wrong employer by mistake, you will need to submit a support request.
- Employer sector.
Please note:
- Expression of Interest number: there is a form on the CEC website this is completed when people volunteer to become Enterprise Advisers. When this form is completed, it triggers an email that goes to the Partner, and this email contains the EOI number. CEC is able to monitor the number of Enterprise Advisers s that are recruited via the website form.
- Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes that classify occupational information for the UK. Select the most appropriate category.
- The ‘Notes’ section can be used to record any relevant information about the Enterprise Adviser.
- Once you have completed the form with the new Enterprise Adviser’s details, click on ‘Add Record’:

Viewing an Enterprise Adviser record
Click on ‘Enterprise Advisers’.
You will see a list of all Enterprise Adviser record. You can re-order how Enterprise Adviser records appear by clicking the arrows next to the ID Number, Contractor, Personal Information and DBS Status headings:
- ID Number Incomplete = The Enterprise Adviser record is missing required information
- DBS Status Checked = The Enterprise Adviser has a valid DBS check
- DBS Status Unchecked = The Enterprise Adviser does not have a valid DBS check
- DBS Status Underway = The DBS check for the Enterprise Adviser is currently underway
- DBS Status Renewal underway = The DBS check for the Enterprise Adviser is in the process of being renewed:
Click ‘View’ to view the Enterprise Adviser’s record - the record will appear below (to minimise the record, click ‘View’ again).
Editing an Enterprise Adviser record
To edit an Enterprise Adviser record, click ‘Edit’ to edit on the row beside their name.
Please note: If there is mandatory information missing on EANR, a pop-up window will appear with instructions on what you need to do next to enter the missing information. The questions that appear depend on what information is missing.
The editable record will then open in a pop-up window. Please note that greyed-out fields are not editable.
Please note that Admin users can assign Enterprise Advisers to multiple Partners:
Once you have edited the record, click on 'Edit Record’ to save it.
Searching and filtering an Enterprise Adviser record
Click on ‘Enterprise Advisers’.
Use the ‘Filter’ option to filter Enterprise Advisers by status:
- Current
- Matched (1-2-1)

Agile Support (Not 1-2-1)
(We will continue to have Enterprise Advisers matched to one or more Institution, but Enterprise Advisers can also offer ‘Agile Support’ to Institutions; offering specific support for an activity or event to an Institution that they may not be matched with) - Matched & Agile Support
- Unlinked Enterprise Advisers (this replaces 'Not Matched')
- With no DBS
- With old DBS
- Lapsed
- By Co-ordinators
- All
You can also search for an Enterprise Adviser by typing their First Name or their Surname into the search box.
Downloading an Enterprise Adviser record
Click on ‘Enterprise Advisers’.
You will see a list of Enterprise Advisers records:
- Click on the ‘Download this information’ button to download information for all Enterprise Advisers into an Excel file
- Alternatively, search and/or filter the Enterprise Adviser records, then click on ‘Download this information’ to download information for the filtered table:
